Summary
You can use Hi Memo for local notes without creating a BaTip account. Notes, checklists, images, labels, reminders, preferences, and app state are stored on your device unless you choose an action that sends or saves them elsewhere.
Google Drive sync is optional and starts only after you choose to connect a Google account. On Android and iOS, Hi Memo uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix crashes and stability issues.
Hi Memo does not include advertising or general-purpose usage analytics in the release described by this policy.
Information Stored on Your Device
Hi Memo may store the following information locally:
- Note text, rich-text blocks, checklists, labels, colors, favorites, dates, revisions, and deletion records used for sync consistency
- Images and attachment metadata
- Reminder schedules and notification-content preferences
- App language, theme, sorting, filtering, and other preferences
- Backup, sync-provider, pending-change, device-sync, and conflict state
This information provides the app's features. Removing the app, clearing its data, deleting individual notes, or restoring a backup can change or remove local data, subject to operating-system backup behavior.
Optional Google Drive Sync
If you choose Connect Google Drive, Hi Memo requests access to the app-data area of your Google Drive account. The app may transfer note content, checklists, labels, colors, favorites, timestamps, stable identifiers, revisions, deletion records, device-sync state, attachment metadata, thumbnails, and original attachment files.
Hi Memo uses the Google Drive appDataFolder. Files in this area are managed as application data and do not appear as ordinary files in your Drive. Hi Memo communicates directly with Google for this feature; BaTip does not operate a separate server that receives or stores your synced note content.
Hi Memo also uses Google Sign-In and OpenID information to connect and restore the correct Google account. The app may display the account email and display name while connected. On Android, the selected email and a derived account binding are stored in encrypted platform storage so the app can request a non-interactive authorization refresh for the same account. Google's stable account identifier is used in memory; Hi Memo stores a domain-separated hash instead of the raw identifier for account-safety checks.
Disconnecting Google Drive keeps notes on your device and does not by itself delete previously synced app data. Hi Memo provides a separate confirmed action to remove its current sync data from Google Drive. A sync operation already in progress may finish before disconnect completes, and another connected device can create sync data again.
To preserve concurrent edits and recover conflicts, normal sync may keep superseded note versions, deletion records, and attachment files in the app data area. They may remain until the separately confirmed remote-data removal successfully removes Hi Memo's current Google Drive sync files.
You can also revoke Hi Memo's Google access from your Google Account. Revoking access stops future authorized Drive operations but does not automatically delete data already stored in the app-data area.
Hi Memo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google processes Google-account and Drive information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Crash Reporting
On Android and iOS, Hi Memo uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix crashes and stability issues. Crashlytics may process crash logs, stack traces, app version, operating-system and device information, app-installation identifiers, device state, and other diagnostics supplied by Firebase.
This information is used only to diagnose and improve app stability. Hi Memo does not use Crashlytics data for advertising. Hi Memo limits the app context it intentionally adds to sanitized error type, app locale, theme mode, and build mode. It does not intentionally attach note bodies, labels, images, backups, Google-account email, account-binding values, access tokens, or sync payloads to crash reports.
Firebase Crashlytics is provided by Google. More information is available from Firebase Privacy and Security, Firebase's Android data-disclosure guidance, and the Google Privacy Policy linked below.
Reminders and Notifications
If you enable reminders, Hi Memo uses the device notification system to schedule and display them. A reminder can include checklist text when the notification-content setting is enabled. You can hide checklist content, disable reminders, or change notification permission in the app or system settings.
Images, Files, Backups, Exports, and Sharing
Hi Memo accesses a camera, photo picker, or file picker only when you choose an action that needs it, such as adding an image or restoring a backup. Selected content is used for the action you requested.
Backup, export, and share files leave app-controlled storage only after you choose a destination or sharing action. Copies remain wherever you save or send them, and Hi Memo cannot automatically delete copies outside its storage.
Feedback and Support
If you choose to report a bug, request a feature, or contact support, Hi Memo prepares an email in your email app. The draft may include the app version, operating-system family, selected language, theme, and timestamp. You can edit or cancel the message before sending it.
The content of an email you send, your email address, and any information you include are received by BaTip through the selected email service. Support messages may be retained while needed to respond, investigate the request, and maintain a reasonable support record. You may ask BaTip to delete a support message, subject to legal or security obligations that may require limited retention.
Third-Party Services
Depending on the features you choose, Hi Memo may interact with:
- Google Sign-In, Google OpenID UserInfo, and Google Drive API for optional Google Drive sync
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and diagnostics
- Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution and store actions
- Your device's notification, camera, photo, file, sharing, email, and browser services for actions you request
These services may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Data Retention and Deletion Choices
- Local notes and preferences remain until you delete them, clear app data, replace data during restore, or uninstall the app, subject to platform backup behavior.
- Google Drive sync data remains in your Drive app-data area after ordinary disconnect. Use Hi Memo's separate removal action to request deletion of the current sync files, and revoke Google access separately if desired.
- User-created backup, export, and shared copies remain at the destination you selected until you delete them there.
- Crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics according to Firebase retention practices.
- Support messages follow the support retention described above.
Children
Hi Memo is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed specifically to children under 13. BaTip does not knowingly use the app to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support email, contact BaTip to request its removal.
Security
Hi Memo uses platform storage controls and service-provider protections appropriate to the features described above. Network requests use secure connections supported by the platform and providers. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and this policy does not promise absolute security or end-to-end encryption.
International Processing
Google, Firebase, app stores, email providers, and other platform services may process information in multiple countries under their own contractual and privacy arrangements.
Translations
If this Privacy Policy is translated into another language, the English version controls if there is an inconsistency.

This policy may be updated when Hi Memo's features or data practices change. The updated policy will show a new last-updated date. Material changes to Google Drive sync, crash reporting, analytics, advertising, accounts, or payments must be reflected in the policy and applicable store declarations before release.
